About

biketools.cc is a small, open collection of well-made web tools for the cycling industry. The work began the way most personal projects do — I needed a few of these calculators for my own bikes, and the ones on the internet were either riddled with ads, opaque about methodology, or beautiful and wrong. So I started building them the way I wished someone else had.

I'm Etienne Servant — independent designer, cyclist, occasionally a builder of things that aren't bikes. My background is in product design and engineering for shipping software; biketools.cc is where I get to bring both to a domain I love. Every tool here is built to the standard of a workshop instrument: precise, brand-neutral, methodology disclosed, and quiet enough to get out of the way of the work.
